Cheeky’s Fish & Raw Bar opens next week in St. Pete Cheeky’s Fish & Raw Bar, the latest addition to St. Petersburg’s Central Avenue dining scene, will officially open its doors on Wednesday, May 7. The restaurant is the latest project from Tampa native Nate Siegel, co-founder of Tampa’s Willa’s and Willa’s Provisions. The menu will feature fresh seafood from local and Gulf waters, including oysters from Florida and the East Coast, Maine lobster rolls, New Orleans-style po-boys, smoked fish dip, chowder, burgers, salads, and daily specials. Cheeky’s oyster program will serve raw, grilled, and fried oysters sourced from farms like Indian River Oyster Company in New Smyrna Beach, Lost Coast Oysters in Tampa Bay, and out-of-state suppliers such as Blue Point in Long Island and Katama Bay in Massachusetts. See more photos of the concept at the bottom of this post, and check out the opening day menu.—Sofía García Vargas

Artisan teahouse Noisy Crane Tea is looking for another Tampa Bay home When 41 year-old Tampa resident KC Cavanaugh experienced her first traditional tea ceremony almost a decade ago, it quite literally changed her life. Since then, she’s been on what she describes as the “path of tea,” and went from being just an enjoyer of traditional Chinese tea ceremonies to selling her own herbal tea blends at markets throughout Tampa Bay. The retail shop eventually blossomed into an in-person teahouse of sorts—Noisy Crane Tea—where Cavanaugh is finally able to share her knowledge and offer traditional Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese teas in their respective traditions, with a focus on ceremonial-like methods similar to the “life-changing” ones her friend exposed her to many years ago. But since her first lease ended a few months ago, Cavanaugh is looking for another home for Noisy Crane.—Kyla Fields
