Ripe's goon squad had plenty to smile about on Friday night when fast-rising Boston groove and funk outfit Ripe stopped into Orpheum in Ybor City. The seven-piece's new album, Joy In The Wild Unknown, isn't due until April 6, but that didn't stop the band from giving its faithful followers a nice, stanky set to hold them over until then.
