Mitch Perry Report 4.30.12 - Bin Laden assassination anniversary controversial?

Happy Monday, y'all.

In Washington D.C., the big deal Saturday night was the White House Correspondents Dinner, which featured President Obama cracking jokes as well as Jimmy Kimmel. Obama had a few good jokes, but wasn't nearly as effective as last year. Then again, Donald Trump wasn't in the house (or in the news) this year around as a foil. Kimmel's performance was a bit uneven, compared to Seth Myers' performance last year.

The whole "war on women" meme being employed by Democrats against Republicans was a theme this weekend. Locally activists protested in St. Petersburg on Saturday against State House member Larry Ahern, while yesterday on Meet The Press, two pundits had a spirited exchange about whether or not women really make less than men in terms of wages in this country.

And Tuesday marks the first anniversary of the assassination of Osama bin Laden. Naturally, it's controversial.
